Bollywood hottie Bipasha Basu has been maha busy shooting, dubbing for her films and also gearing for the release of her fitness DVD in December. However, the actress shares that when it comes to her lifestyle there are no compromises. "I think it's important to pamper yourself. A happy you inside makes for a happy life even outside," she says. In a candid chat with DNA, Bipasha also talks about her indulgent ways, despite her hectic schedules...
What is high living to you?
Well, being in good health, being independent and being able to pursue your dreams and ambitions is what it all entails for me. Of course, success and basic materialistic necessities matter too, but somewhere we need to be content and appreciate what we have in life — that is also important.
With such a busy shooting schedule how do you find time for yourself?
Well, that's a trick but you know I believe that you have to take care of yourself and that your health and fitness is a priority. So no matter how busy you are, you must find time for yourself. I believe in pampering myself whenever I can and sometimes do make time for that too.
So what do you do to pamper yourself?
I love indulging in spas and pampering myself with hair massages and such de-stressing rituals from time to time. So, whenever I travel to some beautiful places I do make it a point to visit the spas there too.
Is that your favourite indulgence?
Yes, that and also being with my friends, travelling...
And what was the most exotic vacation you've had recently?
My trip to Greece. I loved that place!
What's the key to de-stressing on a daily basis?
Working out, doing things that you love. I love facing the camera, so for me that's actually de-stressing. Besides that I believe in being happy and positive. Right now I am really busy with my fitness DVD and that's giving me so much joy that despite the nervousness about its release, there's also pride and happiness.
You believe in living life to the fullest...
Yes, absolutely queen-size. Till you don't learn to value yourself, no one else will. You owe it to yourself. I always say that I live for myself and that's important too. Yes, you think about work, family, friends, but you also should think about yourself.
