Anna Paquin gives birth to twins

Anna Paquin has given birth to twins.

The True Blood actress and her husband Stephen Moyer welcomed the pair of babies a few weeks early, but both are delighted – although neither the names nor the sex has been confirmed.

A representative said, "We can confirm Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer recently welcomed their twins into the world. The babies were born a few weeks early, but are in good health and mom and dad are overjoyed."

Stephen – who already has children Billy and Lilac from a previous relationship – recently said he having two more kids in addition to his own would be “crazy”, but he was looking forward to it.

He said,: "I love my kids beyond anything. They're the best things ever, and having two more is just going to be even more crazy, but that's cool!"

Anna claimed she was looking forward to settling down with the pair and being a "nesty" parent.

She said, "I have a side that's very nesty. And another that thinks, 'Let's lock up the house and go away for five months.'
