Sanjay Bhansali’s TV show gets preference
The much-touted family show Funtakshari that was to be aired on Star Plus has been canned. It was to be hosted by Ali Asgar and Manasi Parekh but apparently due to some issues between the production house and the channel the show has been stalled.
Sources say that there is a likelihood of the production house taking the show to some other channel. Meanwhile, Star Plus is all set to launch another show Khamoshiyan, produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Apparently, the channel which has just launched three non-fiction shows Arjun, Teri Meri Love Story and Lakhon Mein Ek decided that they would opt for a fiction show on weekdays. So Funtakshari is out and Khamoshiyan based on Sarat Chandra’s novel, and starring Mohit Sehgal and Neerav Soni is slated to go on air next month.
