The coming days will see almost all the Bollywood A-listers in the city as they have returned from shoots or mini-vacations abroad.

Shah Rukh Khan

Actor Shah Rukh Khan’s recently returned home after a long shoot schedule cum mini-break with his family in London, so has Hrithik Roshan who was away vacationing with his family in Maldives.

Actor Akshay Kumar who was in Singapore on a much-awaited break with son Aarav’s also back in town, while Ajay Devgn who was in London for a ten day break with family is expected back soon. Actors Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Farhan Akhtar, Imran Khan, Katrina Kaif, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Arjun Rampal too among others have recently returned from their shoots or breaks abroad. “Finally back home from a much needed holiday and suddenly I feel I have gone for too long,” tweeted Arjun.

With most of the A-listers back in town and there being a few days for others like Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan waiting to take off on their next films, the coming few days are going to be buzzing in B-Town.

“Bollywood’s been having a rather busy year and most of them have been away shooting or vacationing after having wrapped up their shoot schedules for most of the time so far, so yes, it’s after a long time that all these stars are in the city at the same time,” say industry insiders. “Also since many of these B-Towners tend to plan their vacations to coincide with their childrens’ school vacations, most of them travel abroad during this time. So after a lull in much activity apart from film promotions or releases, most of the stars have been away all of June and start of July and are only now back in the city,” add insiders.

“Yes there’s no doubt that these few days will see a lot of action happening in B-Town as almost everyone’s home at present and it’s something that hasn’t happened in a while. It’s a lovely co-incidence,” affirms trade analyst Komal Nahta. And apparently in store for B-Towners are loads of busy catch-up-with-each-other sessions from bashes to casual meetings to house get-togethers, et al are all the order of the day as star wives and their cliques ready to swap their vacation nuggets.

“It’s not only actors, but many filmmakers too had been busy abroad either vacationing or shooting and are back home now,” shares a source, adding that it’s also a time when a lot of new film projects are waiting to take off. “There’s definitely a lot of excitement in the air, since it’s been a really long time when almost every film family’s been in the city all at once,” says a filmmaker, who has himself returned from a trip to Europe with his family. “There’s barely going to be a break of say another week or so for most before they start off their work again, in fact, for many it has already started too,” he adds.
