Actor Ajay Devgn is easily one of the fittest actors in B-Town and he even put his super-fit-bod on ample display in his action flick Singham. But ask the actor about it and he insists that while most people associate fitness with bulking up, that’s simply not the case. “The idea is to have a fit and healthy body and high stamina levels to pull off the kind of action that we do on screen. There’s no point in just packing in muscles and not have easy co-ordination in the body at all,” says Ajay. So is he a fitness freak like wife Kajol? “No, I am more of a ‘fitness-conscious’ person, and yes she is more regular than me when it comes to workouts,” he smiles.
Admitting that workouts are a part of his daily life, he reveals that he doesn’t look at muscle-building as a chore that he has to put himself through everyday. “I really enjoy my workouts. Easy and light to heavy ones depends on the requirements sometimes. For me, I don’t have to mentally make an effort to prepare to hit the gym or anything, for me it’s a way of life and the only way to be,” adds Ajay. But the actor also reveals that depending on the role, he tends to alter the workouts. Explaining further Ajay says that for Singham where he had to go bare chest, the workout involved was different, than the ones for Bol Bachchan. “In this film since I was playing a pehelwan, the body had to look more buffed up, so the workouts were different for this one,” shares Ajay.
While he himself is into healthy living, Ajay is often known to also get his co-actors to get the fit way, as many have often spoken about getting hooked to workouts after being inspired by Ajay. But ask him about his fitness funda and he says that if you are happy and content, it automatically reflects in your overall health. “Just keep negativity out and happiness in, exercise daily and eat healthy,” he adds.
