Hot on the heels of her outing at this year’s Cannes film festival, with Hollywood biggies, actor Mallika Sherawat is back again in LA, this time mingling with Oscar-winning actor Jean Dujardin of The Artist fame! This comes close on the heels of the actor’s recent rendezvous at the Cannes film festival in May. Not only did she create a stir with her bold fashion statements, but she was also spotted dancing with iconic actor Antonio Banderas.
“Mallika has been making quite a statement in Hollywood. From meeting Barack Obama to Hollywood A-listers, she has been making waves there in LA land. This year’s Cannes saw her dancing with the likes of Antonio Banderas, after walking the red carpet in a stunning nude coloured gown. She is surely making her presence felt there, when it comes to Bollywood,” says a source.
Recently, Mallika was spotted hanging out with this year’s Oscar winning best actor, Jean Dujardin. The duo was seen having a gala time at this exclusive members-only club, Soho House in Los Angeles. A source reveals, “Mallika and Jean got along really well. Jean was very inquisitive about Bollywood and wanted to know more about the culture from her. They also talked about French movies and his journey to the Oscars, as well as films in general. Jean also spoke at length about his love for tap dancing, which he had to learn for his film The Artist. Now, he has become quite an expert when it comes to this form of dancing.”
The source further adds, “Dujardin even offered to give Mallika some tap dancing lessons. He even showed her some of his moves, and gave basic tips to her. In return, he wanted to learn some Bollywood dance numbers. Mallika was more than happy to oblige. She showed him some of the latke-jhatkes of our desi numbers.”
Besides her time out in Hollywood, Mallika also has a Bollywood film KLPD in hand. It’s currently in the post-production stage, and has her opposite actor Vivek Oberoi.
