Realtors' body NAREDCO will hold two-days convention on August 28-29 in the national capital to evolve new business strategies following the implementation of the new real estate law and GST.

The convention will also discuss ways to overcome the multi-year slowdown in the residential segment, that has resulted in huge delays in execution of projects.

The National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO), formed under the aegis of Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, is expected to witness participation of bureaucrats, policy makers, experts, leaders, real estate developers and private equity players in its '14th National Convention' "The year has seen some remarkable positive developments.

Post demonetisation, while the sector witnessed some sluggishness, the implementation of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act 2016 and the GST has brought a new wave of activity into the sector.

"While these regulations add value to the overall investment potential of the Indian real estate sector, it also propels us to rethink our strategies for tomorrow," NAREDCO Chairman Rajeev Talwar told reporters.

NAREDCO President Parveen Jain said the participants would brainstorm to find ways to overcome the slowdown in the sector. The theme of this year's convention is 'Indian Real Estate Unfolding the new era of growth.'
