Punjab Board Class 10 results: Ludhiana's Gurpreet Singh tops PSEB with 98%

Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) declared the Class 10 results on Tuesday. Ludhiana's boy Gurpreet topped the exams with a score of 98%. 

Gurpreet Singh student of Shri Harikrishan Sahib School in Ludhiana scored 637 marks. Speaking to the news agency, Gurpreet Singh said the results came as a surprise to him as he did not expect to bag the top spot.

"I am happy and quite surprised to know that I have topped the exams. I want to thank all my teachers," he said, amid the celebration by his parents and relatives, on his achievement.

The complete result will be uploaded on the PSEB website on Wednesday. 

The pass percentage this year was 59.47%. Our of the 3,68,295 students who appeared for the exam, 2,19,034 cleared it. 

Mansa district tops in pass percentage tally with 73.76%followed by Sri Muktsar Sahib (72.39%), Hoshiyarpur (67.14%) And Ludhiana (67.27%).

The merit list was released on the official website website pseb.ac.in
