In view of the raging coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic outbreak, Delhi University (DU) is likely to extend the dates for its registration process by a few days. The university was supposed to end the application window for registration today (i.e. July 4, Saturday), however, it is likely that the dates will be extended by a considerable margin to allow more students to register for the Undergraduate (UG) admissions.

Reports indicated that the number of students who had registered till Friday evening was just short of three lakh. What's more astounding is the fact that among them, around 1.24 lakh of students had not yet been able to pay for their registration forms.

In contrast, around 3.24 lakh students had registered themselves for the UG admissions by July 14 last year. Reports suggest that the varsity may consider extending the deadlines to allow more students to register as well as to allow them more time to finish up the payment process for their registration forms.
