The CBSE on Tuesday announced fresh dates for class X and class XII exams in Punjab that were called off due to Bharat Bandh violence in the state of April 2.
The exams for the students of both classes would be conducted on April 27.
The copy of the CBSE notice, which is with the DNA shows that the exams for class X will be conducted in following subjects: French, Sanskrit, Urdu-Course B.
For class XII students, the exams will be conducted in Hindi Elective, Gujarati, Kashmiri, Nepali and Hindi Core.
The roll numbers and the examination centre allotted to the students will remain the same, the notice said.
The key education board in the country is embroiled in the paper leak case.
After the leak that was discovered in last week of March, the Class XII economics paper will now be re-conducted on April 25 across India.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Police has also seized a dozen mobile phones and said about 1,000 students in the national capital might have got the questions — sold for Rs 30,000 per paper and later resold for Rs 5-7,000. About 10 coaching centres had been raided. The police also identified 24 students who received the math paper on their WhatsApp
Earlier, the Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar had asked students to come out with solutions to make examinations leak proof. He was speaking at the launch of the grand finale of Smart India Hackathon-2018 being held at 28 centres across the country.
His comment came as Congress president Rahul Gandhi hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the CBSE leaks. He had tweeted, “PM wrote Exam Warriors, a book to teach students stress relief during exams. Next up: Exam Warriors 2, a book to teach students & parents stress relief, once their lives are destroyed due to leaked exam papers.”
