CAT 2017 to be held on November 26, registration starts from August 9

The date for Common Admission Test 2017 (CAT 2017) has been released. This year IIM Lucknow will be conducting the test and CAT 2017 will be held on November 26, according to multiple reports. CAT is taken every year by over two lakh students for entry to MBA courses across the country including prestigious IIMs. 

This year, the exam will be held in two sessions. The registration for CAT 2017 will start from August 9 and the window will be open till September 20. A formal notification outlining the relevant dates and rules will be released by IIM Lucknow on July 30 in prominent newspapers across the country. 

India’s biggest MBA entrance test, the Common Admission Test 2017 (CAT 2017), will be held on November 26 (Sunday) this year in two sessions. The registration for CAT 2017 will open on August 9 and will close on September 20. This year, duration of the exam will be of three hours, according to reports.  There will be three sections - Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Ability. Candidates will get exactly 60 minutes to solve each section. However there is a catch. Candidates can't switch to another section while solving a particular section. Some of the questions may not be MCQs, according to reports. 

CAT 2017 will be held across 140 cities and candidates will have the option of selecting four, in order of preference. Registration can be done online via credit or debit cards and net banking. Admit cards can be downloaded post October 1 8.
