Over 200 school heads from nine states in the country will be a part of a day-long discussion on the Influence of Social Media in Education, on August 23. The event is organised by School Leaders Network at the Indian School of Design and Innovation in Lower Parel, Mumbai.

A large number of principals of budget private schools across the country would be a part of the network. “The idea was to introduce principals of smaller schools to the use of social media in education. While bigger schools have a high level of technological literacy and discipline, smaller schools still need to be trained about the uses of social media platforms’ said Francis Joseph, Co-founder of the School Leaders Network.

“Some international schools would also be a part of the meet which would help different kind of schools interact with each other trying to understand their similarities and differences.  Anil Swarup, Secretary, School Education and Literacy, Ministry of HRD would be the chief guest at the meet.
