COMMENTARY
We'll leave you with that. The next Test starts on March 14th. Join us for that. Tata!
Stat: Australia have lost 5 consecutive Tests in India now. 2 in this series, 2 in 2010 and the last Test in 2008.
Stat: The last time India beat Australia by an innings was in Kolkata, 1998.
Pujara: " I'm really happy. There was a bit of pressure as I just got married and my wife was worried that I have to perform. After scoring a century against New Zealand on this track, I got to know the pitch. It was a very similar pitch to that one. When we bowled, the ball was doing a bit. So the plan was to get a partnership. I've scored a lot of runs in domestic and that has helped me get the temperament right. It was a very important partnership with Vijay. That was the most important phase of our innings - we communicated well and the partnership set up the game for the team."
Pujara is the Man of the Match
Dhoni: "It was important to get off to a good start and Bhuvi provided that. You don't expect the pacers to take a lot of wickets in conditions like this but he bowled good lines. Then the spinners took over. We talk a lot about partnerships. In these conditions, it's important to make the bowlers tired, Vijay and Pujara did that and it resulted in a massive partnership. It gave the lower order a lot of freedom. We were actually looking to bat half an hour more but we lost wickets while trying to score quick runs. It's important to not give wickets to their pacers - that's their strength. It was a complete bowling performance. It was important to start today's play well and Ishant did that with the wicket of Watson - he's someone who can play the big shots. After that, Jadeja and Ashwin bowled well. It was a bit different on this wicket - we usually take the new ball after the 80 overs but on this wicket it's important to make it softer. The credit goes to the side. I have a great side, I've always said that. The support staff have been good as well - Gary first and now Duncan. The credit goes to each and every member. (talking about him becoming the most successful Test captain for India)"
Clarke: "India deserve a lot of credit. They outplayed us. Pujara and Vijay's partnership was fantastic. We can learn a lot from that. India outplayed us in all 3 facets of the game. Our batsmen have to take a lot of responsibility. We haven't scored runs, in the best of batting conditions. That's unacceptable. It's about partnerships - with both bat and ball. When you have momentum, you have to run with it as much as possible. That's how the 300+ run stand happened. There is some time to go for the next Test but there will be no break in between. There will be a lot of hardwork. We don't improve by sitting on the couch."
Australia have a lot of selection issues to ponder over. Phil Hughes doesn't look like he'll score runs in India, and the rest of the batsmen simply need to apply themselves a bit more and battle it out. It's high time Clarke bats at number 4 - most of the damage is already done by the time he comes to the crease batting at number 5. And of course, they have to think about their bowling line up as well. Maxwell got 4 wickets, but they might bring back Lyon for the next game.
Stat, via @_Drunkenmunk on twitter: Dhoni has captained India against Australia in India in 6 tests. He has won all 6. He has lost all 3 in Australia.
Australia just didn't turn up today. They had a chance to put up some fight but have collapsed in a session. Ishant Sharma started the slide with the wicket of Watson before the spinners - Ravindra Jadeja and Ashwin ran through the rest of the line up. Jadeja had a dream day - that delivery to dismiss Clarke was an absolute ripper. Ashwin ended with another 5 wicket haul. He now has 81 wickets from 14 Test matches.
Stat: This is Dhoni's 22nd Test win. He goes past Sourav Ganguly's record and becomes the most successful Test captain for India.
Stat: This is the first time a team has lost by an innings after declaring in their first innings.
66.6 Ashwin to James Pattinson, out Lbw!! That's it. Ashwin ends with another 5 wicket haul. Flat and quick delivery on leg stump line, Pattinson misses the defence and is hit right in line. That would have clipped leg. India go up 2-0 in the series. James Pattinson lbw b Ashwin 0(27)
Ashwin to James Pattinson, THATS OUT!! Lbw!!
66.5 Ashwin to James Pattinson, no run, an appeal for lbw, flat and angled in down the leg side, hits Pattinson on the pads but that was going down
66.4 Ashwin to James Pattinson, no run, flighted delivery but down the leg side, Dhoni goes across and collects it
66.3 Ashwin to James Pattinson, no run, loopy and full, Pattinson gets forward and defends it
66.2 Ashwin to James Pattinson, no run, flat and quick, Pattinson stays in the crease and defends it
66.1 Ashwin to James Pattinson, no run, what happened there? Unplayable. Quick delivery pitches on middle and spins across past Pattinson's defence rapidly
end of over
Looks like the last wicket pair is giving a message to Clarke, saying they can hang in there.

63.6 Harbhajan to James Pattinson, no run, flat and outside off, keeps low but Pattinson lets it go
63.5 Harbhajan to James Pattinson, no run, an appeal for lbw but not given. This was a top spinner that goes straight, James Pattinson lets it go and is hit on the pads outside off. Not out.

63.3 Harbhajan to James Pattinson, no run, flighted delivery on middle stump line, Pattinson gets forward and blocks
