Police found a suicide note and writings on the wall that read 'blood thirst'

A 23-year-old youth slit the neck of his girlfriend and later hung himself to death inside a rented house in South Delhi's Chattarpur area on Monday evening around 8 pm. According to South Delhi police, Avishek Mondal (23) and his girlfriend Ayoshna Kundu often fight and would even get violent.
Vijay Kumar, deputy commissioner of police, South Delhi said that the duo were in a relationship but the man was extremely possessive. "A few weeks before the incident, they had a spat and Mondal had moved out of the house," Kumar said. Kundu's family donated her eyes.
Police said that Mondal came to the house in Suman colony, Chattarpur extension area to take his belongings when he slit Kundu's throat with a kitchen knife.
Mondal left a suicide note before hanging himself to the ceiling fan stating that he was depressed. The police found writings on the walls and windows which said "Blood thirst". In the suicide note, Mondal stated that Kundu had refused to marry him. Investigating officials said that Mondal suspected she was cheating on him. The duo had met on Facebook. Mondal was unemployed and Kundu was trying to find him a job.
The deceased girl's father Anitya Kumar Kundu said that she had informed them about his uncouth behaviour. "But we never imagined that he would kill her. In May 2018, she moved to Delhi to pursue a course in graphic designing. She was a graduate from St Xavier's, Kolkata" Kundu said.
The duo had rented the flat together with another friend, Parboni few months ago. The couple's friend Parboni, who lived on the first floor called the cops and informed them that something was wrong. The police broke open the door and found Kundu lying in a pool of blood and Mondal hanging from the ceiling fan. Both of them were rushed to a hospital where they were declared dead.
