In yet another incident of crime against woman in the capital, a 17-year-old girl was raped by three acquaintances in a car at an isolated parking bay, in Safdurjung Enclave area of south Delhi.
Delhi police has registered a case against the three accused identified by the victim in her complaint. Several police teams have been formed to nab the absconding accused. The victims is a resident of Humayurpur village and studies in a reputed private school in south Delhi. The accused have been identified as Rohit, Tinku and Narender, all aged between 20-22 years and live in neighbourhood of the victim.
On Wednesday evening, the victim, went on a drive with one of the accused and after they drove some distance, two of his other friends also joined them in the car. The trio as per the complaint, offered her soft drink laced with sedatives, which turned her dizzy.
They immediately drove the car, to an isolated parking lot near Pilanji village where all three accused took turns to rape the girl. The incident took place on Tuesday evening, and she came back to her house at around 8:30pm. She was scared to narrate the horrible experience to her parents, but only after her father consoled the victim, she was ready to file the complaint.
The victim's father immediately made a call to police station and detailed about the incident. Later, after a medical examination of the victim at a government hospital, a case was registered under section 376 of the IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012 (POCSO) on Wednesday afternoon. Police have questioned the family members of the accused and have recovered and impounded the Hyundai Verna car allegedly used for the crime.
"A team comprising of senior police officers of the district has been formed to nab the absconding accused. They would be arrested soon," said a senior police official.
