Woman fights off 2 men trying to snatch her phone

A 22-year-old woman fought robbers who tried to snatch her phone in Rohini on Friday night. However, police are yet to identify the robbers. Narrating her ordeal, the victim identified as Yeetu Sharma, who was returning late from work on Friday night, said that while she was walking back home two unidentified men on a scooty tried to snatch her mobile from behind."All of a sudden I felt that some tried to snatch my bag but I held my bag tightly.

During the act, one of the men fell from the scooter following which the driver lost his balance and fell from the vehicle.Hearing my cries people gathered at the spot. However, by then they fled the spot. Locals informed the police," said Yeetu Sharma.Police have said that a case has been registered at Vijay Vihar police station and they are trying to ascertain the identity of the two men.

The police have said that they are also looking into CCTV footage of the vicinity for any clues about the accused. "We will also make a list of local criminals with the same modus operandi and also look into the list of recently released criminals," said a police officer
