Woman alleges rape at workplace in Delhi's Vasant Kunj, two colleagues held

A woman working at a multi-national company in South West Delhi's Vasant Kunj area was allegedly gang-raped by two of her colleagues inside their office on Saturday evening. Police said they have arrested the two accused while they are establishing the woman's allegations.

According to the police, the woman in her complaint has alleged that that one of the men accused who works as store manager called her to the store room where the other accused was also present.

"She has mentioned that the store manager started touching her inappropriately and when she tried to resist, the other accused helped him to overpower her. Later, the two took turns to rape her. The two shut her mouth when she tried rise an alarm. The two later fled the spot and threatened the victim to face the consequences if she revealed the ordeal to anyone," said a senior police officer.

However, the woman didn't about the incident in the office and later when she reached home and she made a police control room call and informed the matter to police.

"Following the allegations made by the woman, a case under relevant sections of the Indian penal code was registered against the two. A team raided their hideouts and arrested the two accused.

Police have conducted a medical examination of the complainant while they are also checking the CCTV footages of the office premises to ascertain the complainant's allegations.

The staff of the company is also being questioned, said a senior police officer.
