One of the dead in the factory collapse, Ajay was about to get married. He was engaged on December 18, 2018, and was scheduled to get married in May this year.

Ajay's brother Rohit regretted not being able to see his brother's face for one last time before he left for work as he was fast asleep.

"I missed seeing him in the morning and later on when I went to give him his lunch box, the owner of the factory who was on the ground floor stated that he would pass it on to him. I missed seeing him twice," said Rohit who lived with the deceased in Basai Darapur area of Moti Nagar. Meanwhile, Ram Govind, a relative of Ramphal and Munger, said that they had a scrap goods shop adjacent to the factory whose wall collapsed and a huge portion of it fell on them, claiming the lives of both.

"We had our dinner together and were about to sleep on our folding cots when all of a sudden we heard a loud cry. As we woke up, the walls of the adjacent factory had collapsed on our shop while Ramphal and Munger were under the debris," said Govind.
