The residents of Trilok Puri in West Delhi have been facing water crisis for the last two months, but the issue has not been solved despite several complaints. The water supplied to the area is contaminated and unfit for human consumption.

Talking with DNA, MLA, Raju Dhingan said that the problem has aggravated as the water pipeline has got attached with the sever line.

He said, "We could not do anything about the issue so far as we did not have sufficient funds, but now that we have applied for more money, the issue should be resolved soon."

The residents have been complaining of the serious threat that the contaminated water poses to their health. According to them, the water is neither fit to be used for drinking nor for other purposes.

"We are facing so many problems because of this. We complained so many times to the authorities but they do not care and have been ignoring our problems. The water quality is unhygienic and unfit for any usage. We spend at least Rs 150 rupees every day on water. We tried to meet the local MLA but they don't have time for our issues. We can't spend so much money on water on a daily basis. We shared our problems with PRO of the Delhi Jal Board also but no action has been taken in these two months," said Devender Parsad, a resident of Trilok Puri, 21 Block.
