The fifth edition of 21 Gun Salute International Vintage Car Rally and Concours Auto Show will be held in the national capital on February 21 and 22. Around 201 vintage cars and 50 vintage bikes, selected from a pool of over 3,500 vintage cars across India, will be rolled down from Red Fort to Gurgaon.

The rally will have a 1936 Daimler sports coupe, a 1946 Lincoln Continental and a 1929 Buick convertible, among other attractions. The highlight, however, is the first car developed by Karl Friedrich Benz, the founder of Mercedes-Benz. Another highlight will be the cars from the vintage clubs of Malaysia and Singapore.

These rare beauties will drive through a 52- km stretch passing historic monuments like Rajghat and Teen Murti Marg and end at Leisure Valley Park in Sector 29, Gurgaon. All the participants will be felicitated after the event.

This rally is being organised by Madan Mohan, the director of 21 Gun Salute. "This year the vintage car rally will be organized on a much larger scale than the previous editions. The vision of the event is to place India on the global tourism map as the most attractive country when it comes to vintage cars and heritage motoring history. It aims at acquainting the youth to the rich heritage and culture of cars in India," Mohan said while speaking about the rally.

This edition of the Vintage Car Rally and Concours Auto show, which has been organized in association with Heritage Motoring Club of India, looks to be a delightful weekend for the automobile enthusiasts.
