Uttar Pradesh legislator's wife killed over property dispute

UP legislator Haji Aleem's wife was killed over a property dispute allegedly by two of his sons from an earlier marriage, police said on Sunday.

Rehana, 40, wife of Aleem, who represents the Bulandshahr constituency, was killed Oct 9 at her New Jafrabad residence in Delhi.

According to police, the legislator's sons Danish and Anas with the help of their driver allegedly killed Rehana over a property dispute. The driver Nadeem has been arrested.

"Nadeem was arrested from Ghaziabad Sunday morning and during interrogation he has named the sons of the UP legislator," said the police officer.

Danish and Anas are still absconding, he added.
