Loved by many, February is a month that marks the onset of spring. The cold wave starts to lose its chill and the mercury settles at a pleasant point.

The month also marks the switching of our loyalties from full-bodied rum and warm fuzzy brandy to refreshing sangrias and old-fashioned mojitos.

What could be a better way to raise a toast to the ideal weather than soaking in some heady pleasures at the Delhi Cocktail Week (DCW)?

Returning to the Capital for the second season, DCW will kick off from February 4. The impressive line-up will include over 30 bars and lounges from Delhi and Gurgaon, leaving tipplers spoiled for choice.

The eight-day festival has, on board, a number of top-notch names from the industry who have already made a mark with their innovative cocktails. So, Delhiites can choose from PCO to Qla and Ek Bar to Public Affair and ATM.

"The idea is to celebrate both the spirit and the spirits. We have had successful runs in Mumbai and Bengaluru. Since Delhi loves its patialas unabashedly, we have set the bar higher this time with craft cocktails, master classes, cocktail competition on a bigger scale, and a greater number of cocktail enthusiasts," DCW Founder Archit Singhal said.

"We believe the cocktail industry can grow only if we share our knowledge and raise our standards. We plan to create the second edition of the Delhi Cocktail Week as the ultimate platform to enjoy cocktails in a pocket-friendly way, learn about different aspects of alcohol, and experience world-class mixes," he added.

In addition to providing a high, the DCW will also provide a platform to learn about the finer nuances of a perfect cocktail, including the most minute details, such as the art of pouring. The line-up also includes four masterclasses, including one on wine to help you distinguish your chardonnays from your dessert wines, sessions on setting up a noteworthy bar at home, tips on the art of food blogging, and how to infuse Indian spices into cocktails, among other activities.

Another highlight of the festival will be the Most Innovative Bartender Cocktail Competition at Qla, which will see the best from across the city battling it out for the worthiest drink.
