Buoyed with the success of the recently concluded Purvanchal Mahakumbh organised here, the Delhi unit of Bharatiya Janata Party is mulling three more rallies in the coming months. Hoping to hold it on similar grand scale, the mega events will focus on women, youth and dalits.

According to sources, the party has already started preparing for these rallies with Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari at the helm of affairs. While one rally will be organised in November, December will see two as another show of strength by the local unit. Tiwari had announced during the Purvanchal Mahakumbh held on September 23 at Ramlila Maidan that the party will shortly hold three "maha rallies" at the same venue. He had also said that people attending the rally will vow to help Prime Minister Narendra Modi win again. "The mood within the unit is very upbeat after the phenomenal success of the Mahakumbh. We are now preparing for more rallies that will be organised under Scheduled Caste, Mahila and Yuva Morcha wings of the BJP," sources said.

The scheduled caste (SC) rally is likely to be held on November 25 at Ramlila Maidan, and has been tentatively named Vijay Sankalp Rally. National BJP president Amit Shah is touted to be the chief guest at this event too. A senior party leader said, "The city has around 21 lakhs SC voters. We are planning to hold a door-to-door campaign of around 12-15 lakh voters, seeking support from them for PM Modi."Meanwhile, the Mahila Morcha Rally has been scheduled for December 16. It will be called 'Mahila Hoonkar Rally', and only women party workers and supporters will be allowed to attend it, according to sources.

At the September 23 event, Shah sounded the party's readiness for next year's Lok Sabha elections, saying the BJP's aim is to win all the seven parliamentary seats from Delhi. He also attacked Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal for opposing the National Registry of Citizens, saying that infiltrators were eating away the country like termites.
