Two men held for raping teen

Two men allegedly raped a 19-year-old woman after offering her lift from Gurugram on Saturday. Police said the two men dropped the woman in Dwarka after the assault and sped away. Both have been arrested, they added.

The incident took place when the woman, who works at a shopping mall in Gurugram, was returning home in the evening. She told the police that the two men offered her a lift, to which she agreed.

"She said in her complaint that the men started touching her inappropriately. When she objected, they forced themselves upon her and raped her. After driving up to a Metro station in Dwarka, they dropped her and sped away," a police officer said.

Based on her complaint, a raid was conducted and the two accused were arrested, the police said. A medical examination of the victim was carried out and a counsellor has been arranged for her, the police said.

• The two men had offered the girl a lift and then started touching her inappropriately. 
   
• When she objected, they forced themselves upon her and later dropped her in Dwarka and fled away.
