Delhi Police solved the murder case of 29-year-old Amit Bhiduri and apprehended Sumit Arora, the main accused and Sukhwinder, his associate on Wednesday. Police had found Bhiduri dead at a rehabilitation centre, Jeevan Raksha Foundation in Tughlakabad Extension on Tuesday morning. Another associate of Arora, who too was involved in the murder, identified as Manoj is still absconding.

The local enquiry by the police and technical surveillance led to the arrest of Arora from Rampuri, Ghaziabad and Sukhwinder from trans Yamuna area. According to the police, four workers of the de-addiction centre brought Bhiduri here, who was inebriated, on Monday night. The accused Arora, caretaker of the centre, along with his two associates, all of whom were drunk, allegedly shaved the hair and eyebrows of the deceased with a trimmer.

Police further stated that the accused mercilessly beat Bhiduri with a wooden rod and threatened the inmates of disclosing the incident to anyone. They allegedly ran from the spot after removing the CCTV cameras of the centre.

Police interrogation revealed that Arora was earlier a patient at the de-addiction centre and about a month ago, voluntarily became the caretaker in lieu of a nominal salary.

Police are carrying on further investigations to apprehend the third accused (Manoj) involved in the murder.
