A 30-year-old fugitive wanted in a shoot-out and attempt to murder case of a manager in Gurugram was arrested before fleeing to Nepal from South-East Delhi's Kalkaji area on Friday night. Police have recovered a pistol with one live cartridge and a revolver from his possession.

According to the police, the accused has been identified as Krishan Kumar, who used to work as a bouncer in a Gurugram club and was running a transport business currently. He was arrested following a tip-off.

Kumar was wanted in an attempt to murder case of a manager of Japanese auto accessories company, MITSUBA.

"On Friday, we got information about Kumar coming to Kalkaji. Following which, a trap was laid at Outer Ring Road in Kalkaji. At around 8.30 pm, one person was seen going towards Kalkaji. A team tried to intercept him but on sensing danger, he started running. However, he was nabbed after a brief chase," said Chinmoy Biswal, Deputy Commissioner of Police, South East District.

Police recovered a loaded pistol and a revolver from his possession and it was found that he was planning to flee away to Nepal with the help of an agent and he had come to Kalkaji for this purpose.

During interrogation, Kumar revealed that in 2009, he procured arms license from Rewari and after that, he started working as a bouncer in a club in Gurugram and also worked as a private PSO.

"In May 2018, one of his friend Dayachand master and his nephew Joginder Singh contacted him and told him that the HR manager of MITSUBA Company had dismissed Singh from his services and they wanted to avenge," said Biswal.

On June 7, Kumar along with one of his associates, Surender fired two rounds on Dinesh Kumar.

Dinesh escaped the shootout with minor injuries and Kumar fled from the spot with his associate.

Dayachand and Singh were already arrested by the police while Kumar was absconding.
