Three persons including a 51-year-old woman have been arrested for allegedly trying to kill a man by slitting his throat, who had ill-intentions for the woman's daughter, on Wednesday from Outer Delhi's Prem Nagar area.

According to the police, the accused have been identified as Beena, Lal Bahadur and Amit who had allegedly slit Bhagwan Singh's throat and threw him near a railway track on Tuesday.

"We had got an information about a man lying unconscious near the railway track, following which he was shifted to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital Mangol Puri," said Rajendra Sagar, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer).

During the course of the investigation, the accused disclosed that his throat was cut by Beena and her son Tarun, who is still absconding.

"On Wednesday, three accused have been arrested. Lal and Amit helped the other two to throw the injured near the railway track and destroyed the evidence. While Tarun is absconding and teams have been formed to nab him," said Sagar.

During interrogation, Beena revealed that on the day of the incident, Bhagwan Singh came to their house despite repeated directions and therefore, Beena committed this crime with the help of her 21-year-old son, Tarun, to teach him a lesson as he had an ill eye on her daughter.
