A 26-year-old man was allegedly stabbed 20 times until he collapsed and died in South Delhi's Neb Sarai area on Monday night. Police have arrested the accused who said that the deceased would often bully him. Two teens implicated in the crime have been identified as Gagan (19) and Priyanshu alias Kabbu (18).

According to police, deceased Sonu and his friend Manish were driving around in South Delhi area after consuming alcohol in Gurugram. Sonu spotted Gagan in the market area of L-1 and asked Manish to pull over. Sonu stepped out of the car and slapped Gagan twice following which Gagan ran to his house and returned with a knife. While Priyanshu held Sonu, Gagan stabbed him over 20 times. Fearing for his life Manish fled from the crime scene. Priyanshu also hit Sonu's head with stones.

Investigating officers said Sonu and Gagan had also got into a fight last year during Janamastmi celebrations. However, police were not informed about the same. Their families sorted out the matter among themselves.

Gagan told the police that since Sonu was physically stronger than him and would often bully him by passing comments, snatching his money or hitting him. "A call was received around 11 pm about a man being stabbed by some persons and lying on the road in a pool of blood. The police officers rushed him to AIIMS Trauma centre where he was declared dead on arrival. A case under appropriate sections of the IPC was registered. On the instance of Gagan, the knife was recovered from a drain," said Vijay Kumar, DCP, South.
