Suspicious over affair, man kills live-in partner in Sangam Vihar area

Suspicious over his partner's affair with another man, a man mercilessly murdered a woman on Sunday night in South Delhi.

The police solved the case of murder on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday with the arrest of one man accused of the murder of a woman in Sangam Vihar after they received the PCR call, informing them about the incident, at 11 pm on Sunday.

The accused has been identified as Ramvir, a resident of Sangam Vihar.

On reaching the spot, police discovered a woman lying on the floor with injuries on her head and face from a blunt object. While searching the area, police found the accused on the roof of the same building with blood stains on him.

During sustained interrogation, the accused revealed that he had met the victim, later identified as Gulshan, some time last week and had brought her to his residence in South Delhi's Sangam Vihar. Thereafter the duo started living together. Later the accused learned about Gulshan having an affair with another man and on Sunday night they had a heated argument over her affair. Angry over the fact that she had a lover, he bludgeoned the victim with an iron tool on her face and head which killed her. The investigation is in progress, said the police.
