Sonu Punjaban, queen-pin of trafficking and prostitution racket, arrested by Delhi Police

One of the most wanted criminal Geeta Arora alias Sonu Punjaban was arrested by Delhi Police on Sunday on charges of running prostitution racket and trafficking girls.

Punjaban was arrested from a secret hideout after a tipoff from a 16-year-old girl who was a victim of her trafficking and prostitution ring, according to a Mail Today report.

Punjaban has been involved in trafficking of minor girls and forcing them into prostitution. 

The 16-year-old victim was kidnapped by the notorious criminal in 2009 when she was 12 years old and forced into the prostitution business. In 2014, the minor victim marched up to Najafgarh police station all by herself and filed a complaint against Punjaban. However, since no taken was taken, the minor went into hiding running scared for her life. She was once traced by the police but the minor went missing believing no action will be taken and she might be killed.  But, when the police was finally able to trace the minor victim, she gave inputs about Punjaban's sex racket, which ultimately lead to arrest of the notorious criminal.
