Shah Rukh Khan attends funeral of father-in-law in Delhi

Shah Rukh Khan's father-in-law Colonel Ramesh Chandra Chhibber passed away on March 1, 2016 in New Delhi. 

Colonel Chibber was admitted in Escorts hospital and passed away at 8.55 pm on Tuesday.

Shah Rukh, his wife Gauri Khan, Karan Johar and many close friends attended the cremation ceremony on Wednesday.

The ceremony is being held at Lodi Crematorium.

According to media reports, Shah Rukh Khan and wife Gauri are distraught by Colonel Ramesh Chibber's sudden demise.

Love and support has been pouring in for both Gauri and Shah Rukh. Filmmaker Karan Johar's tweet which many are assuming was posted in support of Gauri and SRK.

Shah Rukh Khan and his father-in-law were close to each other. SRK has put his work commitments aside to be with his family in New Delhi.

Colonel Chibber is survived by wife Savita, son Vikrant, and daughter Gauri Khan.
