Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said the Delhi government planned to approach the Supreme Court to get six months relief for traders from the ongoing sealing drive, even as the government and the Opposition clashed over the issue on Tuesday.

A meeting with BJP leaders at the chief minister's residence turned hostile with the Opposition filing a police complaint against AAP MLAs alleging four members of theirs — including North Corporation mayor Preety Aggarwal — had been assaulted.

Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari lashed out at AAP accusing them of converting the meeting into a "public rally."

Meanwhile, the CM announced that he was sad the BJP did not participate in the discussions and stated the party would go ahead with its bid to request the court for a "temporary ban" on sealing.

"Last evening we had a discussion with lawyers after which we decided that the Delhi government will approach the apex court seeking temporary stay on the sealing drive," Kejriwal said

Meanwhile, Ravinder Gupta, Delhi BJP unit general secretary filed a complaint with the Civil Lines police station against the AAP MLAs accusing them of attacking its leaders. Police then took Gupta and Aggarwal to Aruna Asaf Ali Hospital.

Refuting the allegations, Kejriwal said the BJP leaders were "lying"

Later in the day, the CM along with Delhi Urban Development minister Satyendar Jain visited different markets including Chandni Chowk, Defence Colony and Meherchand market to address the traders.
