According to the complainant, identified as Mohit Goel, who had launched the scheme of the world's cheapest phone 'Freedom 251', when he launched the company, two accused Ashok Chadha and Kavita Chadha approached him and kept a proposal in front of him about giving them 50% of the company share and in return they would take care of advertisements.

"I made them the vice-president of the company and also gave them 50% shares. I trusted them and gave them all my savings which was around Rs 4 crores. Then they made me meet two more accused Vikas Sharma and Rajni Agarwal and I paid them a check of Rs 3.27 crores," said Goel.

In return, Goel got only goods worth 90 lakhs and later, Sharma told him that the ship in which the rest of the goods were being imported had sunk.

"Ashok told me that he has spoken to another big company and that they will provide goods worth Rs 50-100 crores per month. He told me that we will take advance from 100 distributors which we have created and invest in the company," said Goel.

Ashok gave ads in the papers and got 150 distributors, and collected around Rs 15 cr from them. After which, they made Goel meet Deepak Gupta and Pallavi and said they will be providing them goods now on a monthly basis.

"Ashok told me that we have to deposit Rs 15 cr and give them 15 signed blank cheques to them as security. I did that and even then was not provided with any goods," said Goel.
