Road rage: Two arrested for shooting at a man

The police have arrested two persons from the Najafgarh area in south-west Delhi for trying to kill a 30-year-old man, who had parked his car in the middle of the road. The accused had open fired on Pritesh who was sitting in the driver's seat of his Honda City car.

The accused identified as Gopal Krishan (35) and Dev Bhushan alias Monu (32) were arrested from Najafgarh and Gurugram, respectively following a complaint registered by Sukesh Kumar after his son Pritesh was shot at by few men near Gaushala Road. However, another accused identified as Vicky is still on the run.

"Agitated by a heated conversation over parking, Monu had called two of his friend Gopal and Vicky who fired at Pritesh and fled away on their motorcycles," said Shibesh Singh, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dwarka District.

Both the accused were nabbed after the police received a secret information about Gopal's whereabouts. After repeated raids in the Deepak Vihar area of Najafgarh, the accused was arrested from his residence. During interrogation, Gopal revealed the involvement of Monu, who was later arrested from his residence in Gurugram on Gopal's instances. "After Gopal revealed Monu's whereabouts, the later was arrested from his residence, however, our raids to arrest Vicky have failed to yield results and he is still absconding," added Singh.

The police have recovered four country-made pistols with 42 live cartridges along with a car and both the motorcycles used in the commission of the crime.
