The incident in February that had triggered a row between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government and the bureaucracy was once again raised on Monday after the Delhi Police filed a chargesheet against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, and 11 other AAP MLAs for allegedly assaulting Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash.

The bureaucrats, who were on a partial 'strike' since February demanding their safety and security, are still waiting to meet the CM who had promised to address their issues.

On June 19, Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal had written to Kejriwal asking him to end the ongoing war with the IAS officers and address the concerns of both sides in a meeting. The letter came a day after Sisodia expressed the willingness to sort out the issues with the bureaucrats.

"It has been more than a month and no such meeting has taken place. Our officers are still continuing with a five-minute silent protest everyday. The meeting should happen. Many officers are still facing troubles while dealing with the AAP ministers," said a senior bureaucrat requesting anonymity.

Recently, Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot and Transport Commissioner Varsha Joshi were engaged in a confrontation over procurement of new buses and alleged corruption at Burari Transport Authority office. A few days ago, a forum of transport department associations accused Gahlot of "misbehaving" with Joshi and sought his apology.

The two of them have once again locked horns over the selection of the logo for a common mobility card. According to the sources, the selection of the logo for the card has created trouble between the Minister and the transport department officials. The transport department has raised objections over the choice of the design of the logo.

"On one hand, Kejriwal is trying to portray that women are unsafe under BJP rule. On the other hand, his minister was humiliating an IAS officer for speaking on corruption at Burari Transport Authority. Joshi is being harassed for seeking transparency in the proposed Rs 2,500 crore bus deal Gahlot is trying to rush through," Manoj Tiwari, president Delhi BJP had said.
