The Central Board of Secondary Education filed a police complaint on Friday in an alleged case of paper leak, a day after Class XII accountancy paper was allegedly circulated on WhatsApp hours before the exam.

After the complaint, the case was transferred to the crime branch on Friday. The board has asked the police to file an FIR against those who “spread ‘rumours’ of the paper leak” on Thursday. The police, however, said no FIR has been lodged so far.

Earlier on Thursday, Delhi education minister Manish Sisodia informed of the alleged paper leak on Twitter and urged the board to investigate. The board, however, denied the allegations.

“All seals have been found intact at all centres. During the exam, however, at a local level, some miscreants tried to play mischief by circulating messages through social media to disturb the sanctity of the examination. The CBSE has decided to take strict action against such activities,” the board had said.
