Noida: Woman finds hidden camera in loo, accused absconding

The police said that a woman customer claimed that she found a hidden mobile phone which was recording videos inside the restroom.

A staffer of an electronics showroom at Sector 18 in Noida has been accused of installing a hidden camera inside the women's restroom at the store.

The police said that a woman customer claimed that she found a hidden mobile phone which was recording videos inside the restroom. The accused is absconding, while teams have been formed to nab him, the police said.

According to the complainant, he along with his wife had gone shopping to Vijay Sales. "During the course of shopping, my wife went to use the restroom. When she returned she alleged that she has found a mobile phone which was hidden and it was in the recording mode," said the complaint.

When the customer approached the manager of the showroom he requested them not to complain to the police about the matter.

However, the complainant made a PCR call and the police team rushed to the spot. Based on the complaint, an FIR under relevant sections of the Indian Penal code has been registered.

"During the initial investigation, it was found that the phone belonged to a staffer who has been identified as Sachin Tomar, who is absconding at the moment. We have formed teams to nab the accused," said Manish Saxena, station house officer sector 20 Police station.
