Noida school students short-listed for finals of NASA's Space Settlement Contest

A team of 12 students from Noida's Amity International School, is all set to represent the Asian Subcontinent at International Space Settlement Design Competition (ISSDC). This is the only team from India and among the 12 finalist teams selected from around the world to compete at NASA's Kennedy Space Centre, Florida in the month of July.

Expressing his excitement, Dhruv Khanna, the team leader while talking to iamin said that selection in ISSDC's finals means a lot to them and this is the result of their hard work and dedication.
The competition gives a platform to high school students to discover their innovative streak and design a city in space, apt for housing over 10,000 people. The teams have to complete the assigned task in 42 hours.

The team members – Dhruv Khanna, Aabhas Vaish, Aman Agarwal, Anuj Harisinghani, Rishab Srivastava, Chittaranjan Prasad, Suchit Jain, Rahul Rajput, Tanay Asija, Anant Chaturvedi, Grishma Purewal – are from Class 11, while one of the students Mudit Gupta is from Class 10.

Renu Singh, Principal, Amity International School wished the team good luck saying that it is a stupendous achievement to be short-listed for a global level competition which is rated as world’s toughest competition of its kind.
