Mystery shrouds couple's death in Ghaziabad

The police are banking on viscera reports to unravel the mystery of a couple being found dead in the bathroom of their house in Ghaziabad's Indirapuram amid Holi celebrations on Friday. The reports might take from six days to six months, experts said. The police said the post-mortem reports could not ascertain the cause of the deaths

"We have collected evidence and questioned family, but after the viscera reports in, we will have a clearer picture," said City SP Akash Tomar. "There could have been internal poisoning or an unknown substance present in the body which usually isn't known in autopsy reports," said Vivek Chauksey, forensic expert at Lady Hardinge Medical College. Earlier, cops suspected it to be a case of suffocation, but the post-mortem reports ruled this out.
