Mum-daughter murder: Suspect son's last location traced at Chandni Chowk

The police did not announce the reward amount, but sources says it is between Rs 20,000 and Rs 25,000

A joint team of more than 100 policemen from Gautam Budh Nagar are on the hunt for the juvenile who allegedly stabbed his mother and sister to death in their Greater Noida apartment.

Sources told DNA that the boy was located last in Chandni Chowk area. Therefore, Delhi Police has been approached to try and find him there. Family members have also appealed to the son, who has been missing since the incident, to return home.

A senior officer of the Greater Noida police said, "After the incident came to light, we had put the phone, which the boy had taken along with him, on surveillance. That's how we found out his last location on Monday night."

"However, the phone has been switched off thereafter. Pictures and details of the boy have been posted at various platforms to seek public assistance in tracing him. We have also announced a reward for any information regarding his location."

The police did not announce the reward amount, but sources said it is between Rs 20,000 and Rs 25,000.

"We have formed four teams to trace the boy and hope to find him soon. Only he can tell the truth about what happened inside the apartment," said Luv Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police.

On Tuesday night, a mother-daughter duo was found dead with multiple stab wounds on their bodies at their residence in Gaur City area of Greater Noida. The prime suspect in the case is their 16-year old son, who was the only one present in the house when the incident took place.
