Moving car gang-rape: Cops nab four accused

The Noida Police has arrested four men involved in the gang-rape of a 35-year-old woman in a moving car who was later dumped in Kasna area of Greater Noida on Tuesday.

The accused have been identified as Rahul (25),  and Naresh (24) who are residents of Greater Noida, while Raashid (26) and Ashru (26), hail from Haryana. One of the main accused Kishan (24) is absconding and a manhunt has been launched to catch him, police said.

According to police, the woman hails from Baharatpur in Rajasthan. She is a female escort and had been in contact with Ashru, a pimp, and Raashid, an auto driver. The duo have been arrested under the charges of immoral trafficking and criminal conspiracy.

“Rahul, Naresh and Kishan had gone to MG Road, Gurugram and were looking for a sex worker, when they came in contact with the auto driver Raashid. He took Rs 3,000 from them and sent the woman.” said Love Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police.

The three of them took her to a secluded place near Faridabad where they allegedly had sex with the victim.

“The trio again wanted to have sex with her again but she apparently denied their request and asked for a drop to MG Road. After this, they forcibly raped her in the moving car and she was brought to Kasna and thrown out at 2:30am.  She was also beaten up and had injuries to her face. The woman and the accused were under the influence of alcohol,” said Kumar.

The trio had kept the phone of the women with them, which helped the anti-extortion team and Kasna police station team to nab the accused. 

Police said Raashid was detained on Tuesday evening and arrested after he confessed to his involvement. Ashru, Rahul and Naresh were arrested on Thursday afternoon from Greater Noida.
