Giving a push to a cleanliness drive in the national capital, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) released its manifesto for the upcoming municipal polls on Wednesday.

"We will make Delhi a garbage free city in the next one year," said party chief and Delhi chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Taking a jibe at the BJP, Kejriwal said, "All of us joined the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan but the Delhi BJP backstabbed their own leader Prime Minister Narendra Modi by keeping the city dirty."

"If Delhi votes for the BJP again, garbage will remain and the city will continue to face the problem of the mosquito menace," he said, adding that AAP will completely
eradicate Dengue and Chikunguniya from Delhi in the next three years.

He reiterated the party's major promise of waving off house tax in Delhi and also a corruption-free municipal corporation.

"AAP will put an end to corruption and bribery in the MCD and will also make the corporation financially robust in the next one year," Kejriwal said.

In a bid to woo Safai Karamcharis in Delhi, the party promised to regularise all the temporary workers and provide them with the facilities available to the permanent workers.

The party also ensured guaranteed work in education and health sectors of the MCD. "We will make MCD schools the centres of excellence like Delhi government schools. And will provide world class facilities at MCD hospitals and dispensaries," the manifesto read.

Kejriwal also took a dig at the Delhi Congress saying the party has no future in the city. "Congress is already dead in Delhi. I request Delhiites not to waste their votes on them."
