In a revenge murder, a 32-year-old man killed the elder brother of another man, with whom his wife had an affair. The incident was reported from the south-west Delhi's Dwarka area. The accused, identified as Pradeep alias Monu, was arrested within 48 hours after the commission of the crime.

On May 25, an unidentified body was found near the Orissa Sadan in Dwarka area. The police officers posted notices and pictures of the deceased to aid identification. The following day, one Arjun Singh, 22, reached the police station and identified the body as that of his elder brother, Marshal Singh, 24.

"During the course of investigation, it was revealed that Arjun was in a relationship with Monu's wife Pooja since 2015. In fact, the two had even eloped in November, 2015, which had infuriated Monu. Since then, he wanted to take revenge from Arjun," Deputy Commissioner of Police (south-west) Surender Kumar said.

Pooja later told the police that on May 25, Monu had returned home late in the night in an inebriated condition. His shirt was stained with blood. After sustained interrogation, he confessed to his crime and revealed that he, along with his brother Deepak, murdered Marshal in his car. They strangulated him with a leather belt.

The Swift car used in the crime, the clothes of the accused that he was wearing at the time of the incident, and the leather belt used to strangulate the deceased have all been recovered.
