A 29-year-old man has been arrested from Jharkhand for murdering his live-in partner and her son last month in South-East Delhi's Okhla area on April 29. Police said the accused killed her as he was fed up with the woman's dominating nature and suspecting her to be over friendly with the men in the locality.

The accused has been identified as Babloo Mondal, a factory worker.

On April 25, we received information about a foul smell coming out of a locked house at the Janta Jeevan Camp. Later, we found decomposed bodies with deep injuries to their neck. Initially, the identity of the two could not be ascertained. However, police recovered a school belt of the boy which helped the cops to gather further information. The woman was identified as Sabitri Ghosh (30), a native of Malda, West Bengal.

During enquiry from the landlord, it was revealed that the deceased lady and her son were living in his house along with her husband namely Sanjay from the last 8-10 months. It was further revealed that the deceased lady was last seen alive with Babloo on April 23 and after that Babloo was not seen in the locality.

"In order to nab Babloo, a team was sent to West Bengal but he was not found there. Later, a raid was conducted in the remote area of Sahibganj, Jharkhand and he was nabbed," said a police officer.

During interrogation, Babloo revealed that the two were having arguments for the last few days as he disliked her being dominant.

"On April 23, the accused purchased a bottle of liquor. After reaching home, he offered a drink to Sabitri. At around 11.00 pm, when she a little drunk, Babloo slit her throat and also stabbed her in the neck. He later slit the throat of the minor boy also who was sleeping nearby," said a police officer.
