The Delhi Police arrested a 24-year-old man on Thursday for killing a criminal and his associate in Dwarka area. The accused had killed the two people on Wednesday morning following a property dispute within the criminal gangs in the area.
The accused has been identified as Arjun Dalal. Dalal was directed to commit the crime by a criminal Rajeev, who inducted him into his gang. Dalal had joined the gang as he wasn't earning well and wanted instant money. Various police teams were working in the case after Sandeep and his associate Pawan Maan were shot dead on Wednesday.
Several CCTV footages were analysed and many persons were interrogated by the cops. Police teams raided several places in Delhi, Haryana and UP. The cops received information that the accused would be coming to Dwarka to collect payments. The police team then laid a trap and arrested him.
Investigating officials revealed that Rajeev and Sandeep had an argument over a newly constructed property in Najafgarh and Sandeep had threatened to kill him. It was then that Rajeev hatched a conspiracy to eliminate him. He roped in Dalal and another criminal Akshay to carry out the plan.
Dalal and Akshay roped in their friend Mani to joined them. When they learnt that Sandeep was going to Dwarka court in his car on the morning of May 5, the accused followed him. Finding a chance, they attacked his car in Bamnoli Village and fired indiscriminately at him which led to his death.
Rajeev and Sandeep are known criminals of the area. Rajeev was arrested earlier in 2016 in a case under the Excise Act..
