The Special Cell of Delhi Police arrested an inter-state arms supplier carrying a reward of Rs one lakh on his arrest. The accused Shripal Singh (29) was earlier arrested in three cases of drug peddling, theft and cheating.

According to the police, two inter-state arms suppliers, Mahipal and Sandeep Yadav, had earlier been arrested by the Special Cell in November 2017. In the raid, 1310 live cartridges were recovered from there possession. The duo had told the police about Prempal and Shripal being the main suppliers of arms and ammunition to the criminals in Delhi-NCR.

Later in January, this year, Prempal along with his namely Netrapal was arrested by the police. However, Shripal was still absconding after which the Delhi Police declared a cash reward of Rs one lakh on his name.

Shripal continued to hide from the police in order to evade arrest and he would often hide in the open fields so that his location could not be traced.

However, a team of police officers camped in Aligarh for around 20 days. The team was later informed that he would be moving from his hideout and reaching the Capital after which he was apprehended near Sarai Kale Khan. Shripal had come to meet one of his associates in order to chalk out a plan to supply arms to other criminals. Twenty cartridges were recovered from him.

Shripal studied up to Class 12 and has five siblings. He came in contact with Prempal who lured him to trade in supplying of arms and ammunition.
