The Gurgaon police on Wednesday arrested three men for raping a teenager on Tuesday night.
Dinesh Thakran (21), Naveen Thakran (21) and Satyadev (30) were arrested for the rape of a 19-year-old call centre worker, and have confessed to the crime, the police said.
The girl was on her way home after having attended a friend’s party in Sushant Lok when Dinesh offered her a ride home on his motorcycle, according to the police. The girl accepted the ride since she knew Dinesh.
“The accused took her to a flat in Sector-46 where two of his friends were already present. They offered her a drink laced with sedatives and when she fell unconscious, the three took turns to rape her,” said Maheshwar Dayal, joint commissioner of police, Gurgaon.
When the girl came to, she called the police and an FIR was registered after the confirmation of rape in a medical examination. “Various teams were made to the crack the case and at around 11 am, we arrested the three accused,” said Dayal.
Dinesh, who runs a mobile repair shop, is a resident of Gurgaon’s Jharsa village. Naveen too is a resident of the same village. Satyadev, who is married and has two children, is a resident of Faridabad.
