It's good news for the homebuyers of Gaursons project located in Sector 22 of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) as YEIDA has issued completion certificate for 1,041 residential units of flats on Thursday.

According to an official of YEIDA, they now plan to issue more completion certificates for other projects in the Yamuna area to make home buyers happy.

"The work is going at full pace and with giving away the certificates, we also started the process of registration of property. Till date we have registered 2,970 flats, which are allotted to homebuyers of different projects," said Arunvir Singh, chief executive officer of YEIDA.

About 2.5 lakh homebuyers in Gautam Buddha Nagar have not been able to get possession despite depositing money to the tune of over 60% to 70% of the value of their property. Moany of them have been waiting for almost four to five years on average.

"We will deliver 50,000 flats before the deadline set by CM Yogi. Three authorities in GB Nagar will soon approve more completion certificates in coming days because these projects are almost ready and builders will arrange funds to deliver flats," said Manoj Gaur, President of CREDAI Delhi-NCR.

Earlier, in a meeting held in Lucknow on September 12, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the officials of Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Authority to deliver 50,000 flats to buyers before December 31 this year.

The three-minister committee formed by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath earlier this year to solve builder-buyer issues is scheduled to meet builders and officials of Noida, Greater Noida and the Yamuna authority in Delhi on December 4.

The committee, comprising of State Industries Minister Satish Mahana, Urban Housing Minister Suresh Khanna and state minister Suresh Rana, was formed on August 22.

According to an official of GNIDA, about 25,000 homebuyers will get their flats before the year ends. An official of Noida Authority said they had already given occupancy and completion certificates to builders of about 8,000 flats, and planned to do so for 10,000 more in the coming days.

Three ministers will take a complete review and status of the ordered of UP CM to deliver the 50,000 flats to home buyers, who invested their life savings into various housing projects before the new year. Projects will be provided by the officials to the three-minister panel on December 4.
