Ashfaq was a druggy who habitually fought with parents and siblings without reason
A 21-year-old boy was found murdered on the terrace of his house in Loni area of Ghaziabad in early hours of Friday.
Police said that multiple injuries were found on his body and suspected that he was attacked with an iron rod.
A case has been registered against unidentified persons, however, the police said the boy often had quarrels with his parents and used to beat them for no reason. Police have detained his parents for questioning as they are the prime suspects in the case.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Ashfaq, a resident of Pooja Colony of Loni area and was working in a pharmaceutical company. He was found dead by the father while he was sleeping on the terrace.
"On Thursday night, Ashfaq had gone to the terrace to sleep. The body was first spotted by deceased's father at around 5 am, who then informed the police.
The boy has been murdered with an iron rod as the rod, with bold blood stains, was also found. The family has registered a complaint against four or five unidentified persons who they alleged have murdered their son. We have registered an FIR and investigations are underway" said Arvind Maurya, Superintendent of police (rural), Ghaziabad.
The officer further said that the body of the deceased has been sent for the post-mortem, reports of which are awaited. "During the initial investigation, it was revealed that Ashfaq was a drug addict and often used to quarrel with his parents and younger siblings for no reason. His father puts up a fruit stall in a nearby market. We have detained the father and other suspected persons for questioning and are trying to cover all possible angles in the case" said Maurya.
Meanwhile, the neighbors have alleged deceased's father to have murdered his son as the boy had fought with his siblings on Thursday night which had annoyed the father and made him furious.
