The accused have been identified as Dinesh alias Mannu (19), Deepak alias Ravi (20), Naveen (21), and Akash (21). Mannu who is the prime accused, has been previously involved in a criminal case.
Four youth accused in a case of murder have been arrested by the Delhi Police. The accused had attacked and seriously injured two people after a verbal arguement turned into a fight. One of the victims later succumbed to the injuries.
The accused have been identified as Dinesh alias Mannu (19), Deepak alias Ravi (20), Naveen (21), and Akash (21). Mannu who is the prime accused, has been previously involved in a criminal case.
According to a complaint filled by a juvenile, with the Sultanpuri Police station in Outer Delhi district, he was at a fast food stall when his friend Mannu along with his friends came on a scooty. The victim alleged that Mannu was on a speeding scooty and had applied brakes suddenly, after which they had an heated argument.
However, the argument escalated after Mannu and his friends started tharshing him. Seeing him getting thrashed the victim's brother Varun intervened and tried saving his brother but the accused outnumbered them and started beating him as well. Later, the accused left them seriously injured and escaped.
The victims were taken to a nearby hospital, where Varun was declared brought dead.
Investigating the murder, the police team scanned the CCTV footage of the cameras employed in the area of the incident, where a close relative of the deceased identified the accused.
Later raids were conducted in various parts of Delhi and Himachal to nab the accused. In one such raid the accused were arrested from Dabri Road.
